Charles Morgan with the Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Domestic Freight Services Branch provides domestic freight training Aug. 14, 2019, in building 50 at Fort McCoy. The training provided an overview of a variety of domestic transportation programs and other items of interest, to include shipment planning, shipment options, documentation requirements, transportation automated systems, and carrier performance. The training also provided information about shipping activities with knowledge of programs and processes for domestic moves and how they integrate with the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise. Agencies that participated include: Fort McCoy Logistics Readiness Center Transportation Division, 88th Readiness Division Transportation and Services Division, Wisconsin Army National Guard traffic management, Volk Field Distribution Office, Michigan Army National Guard Movement Control Center, Illinois Army National Guard Defense movement coordination, Iowa Army National Guard traffic management, and the 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command G4 Transportation Section.
