Sgt. Taylor Nelson, takes aim with the M14 rifle during the international military competition. Nelson was on the US team that took home the bronze medal for Overall Novice Competition (1st Year Competitors). United States service members participated in the 2019 Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers (CIOR) Military Competition Commission in Tallinn, Estonia from Aug 4-10, 2019. The CIOR represents military reserve components across 36 participating NATO nations along side partnership for peace nations. The military competition, established in 1957, is an internationally recognized completion that is focused on military skills that challenge the leadership and physical robustness of reserve military members along with support an international alliance and foster professional development.
