Cavalry scouts assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, test their ability to navigate terrain and perform tactical maneuvers during a platoon live-fire maneuver exercise at Range 143 of Fort Carson, Colo., April 16, 2012.
'Regulars' conducted the exercise to demonstrate their ability to engage and destroy targets in defensive and offensive positions, conduct tactical maneuvers, and navigate terrain. "We wanted to get soldiers familiar with firing and maneuvering their vehicles."
