    Seabees Attend Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial

GALLUP, New Mexico (Aug. 8, 2019) Parade participants at the Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial evening parade take a break from the parade to shake hands with and hug Sailors in attendance including Capt. Daryll Long, the commodore of First Naval Construction Regiment (1NCR) Aug. 8 while they're in town for an innovative readiness training (IRT) project where they are working with the Southwest Indian Foundation to build homes for homeless Native Americans. One of 1NCR's battalions, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 18, was the leading entity in the IRT project where Seabees gained much needed hands-on training while giving back to the community and getting to experience the Native American culture in New Mexico.
