Zachary Schroeder, Headquarters and Headquarters Company commander, Army Public Health Center, runs with the new K5 metabolic testing unit May 9, 2019 as part of his training to compete in the Army Ten Miler in October 2019. The K5 portable VO2 unit, which is available at certain Army Wellness Center locations, allows Soldiers and athletes to measure how well their muscles use oxygen, and can be used to optimize performance and train for events.
