Ensign Kevin Mullins, electrical officer aboard the guided-missile frigate USS Simpson (FFG 56), gives a familiarization tour to a Senegalese navy boarding team. Prior to conducting a training evolution aboard Simpson as part of exercise Saharan Express 2012. Simpson, homeported in Mayport, Fla., is participating in exercise Saharan Express 2012, which is an exercise focused on improving the communications and interoperability of West African countries to counter narcotics trafficking and proliferation in maritime environments.
