Julie Suguitan, a Navy dentist from Louisville, Ky assigned to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), cleans a patient’s teeth at a temporary medical treatment site. Comfort working with health and government partners in central America, south America and Caribbean to provide care on the ship and at land-based medical sites, helping to relive pressure on national medical systems stained by an increase in Venezuelan migrants.
