JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 2, 2019) – Lt. Timothy Sebreros, a dentist at Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville, conducts an annual exam on Logistics Specialist Seaman Luis Monzon Herrera. Sebreros, a native of Murrieta, California, says, “The Dental Corps is dedicated to providing excellent care for our military personnel in order to maintain mission readiness. Good oral health is essential to overall health and wellbeing, and that’s what we aim to accomplish with our patients.” In 1917, five years after the Dental Corps was founded in 1912, the United States entered World War I. During that conflict, the Dental Corps expanded from 35 to more than 500 personnel, including 124 dentists commissioned in the regular Navy.
