Master Sgt. Juan Anorga Jr., an instructor with Amphibious Assault Battalion, strategizes for one of the events during the Tactical Athlete Challenge at Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 20. Anorga, 37, from Brownsville, Texas, prepped his team, the 'Gators', by discussing techniques to carry each other and clear the challenge obstacles. The tactical competition consisted of teams of four who competed in three exercises. The first exercise was a relay race, which involved sprints, hurdles and low crawls. The second was a race around the track, followed by service members who carried each other and flipped tractor tires around the track for 100 yards.
