190806-N-CL027-1334 SOUTH CHINA SEA (August 6, 2019) An F/A-18F Super Hornet, piloted by Cmdr. Harry Evans, commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102, lands on the flight deck of the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). This was Evans’ 1,000th arrested carrier landing. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
