Sea Cadets with the Thomas Jefferson Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps receive some instruction on requesting permission to go-ashore from LCDR James Denning, the units volunteer finance officer while aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64). The unit, comprised of about 35 Sea Cadets aged 10-17, adult chaperones and volunteers, travelled from Missouri to visit to Battleship Wisconsin and the Nauticus Campus. While aboard the Wisconsin, they received a guided tour of some of the spaces and had the opportunity to take in some naval history and heritage as part of their summer trip to the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.
