The World Scout Jamboree is an educational event that brings together the world’s young people to promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills. The jamboree hosted an estimated 45,000 scouts from more than 150 countries around the world. Sound Strike is a rock band with Marine Band San Diego, which traveled from Southern California as an effort by the Department of Defense to support the World Scout Jamboree and represent the Marine Corps while uniting the scouts through music.
