Senior Airman Allana Manley, Aerospace Medical Technician, 914th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, New York, checks the vital signs of a freshman U.S. Air Force Academy cadet inside the medical triage tent July 23, 2019. Air Force Reserve units from across the nation partnered to provide comprehensive medical care to more than 1,000 cadets participating in Basic Cadet Training, a 10-day field training event on the USAFA campus. Reserve Citizen Airmen took the lead on treating a variety of medical issues, including concussions, lacerations, breathing difficulty, strains and more. Most injuries were treated in the field, minimizing lost training time for the cadets and preventing strain on the Academy health center. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Amelia Burnett).
