Staff Sgt. Jessica Lang, front, and Senior Airman Erica Wyeth, both Aerospace Medical Technicians in the 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, watch closely for signs of injury or distress as U.S. Air Force Academy cadets participate in a leadership-focused obstacle course at the Jack’s Valley Training Complex on USAFA’s campus on July 23, 2019. During the 10-day field training known as Basic Cadet Training, more than 1,100 freshmen cadets completed seven strenuous courses, designed to boost their physical and mental strength. Approximately 10 Air Force Reserve squadrons, including two from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, travelled to Colorado to support the training by operating a field medical facility in partnership with active duty Airmen and civilian employees. An average of 60 cadets per day sought treatment in the field medical facility. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Rachel N. Ingram).
