Shown in old photos are Coast Guard crew members aboard the USS Glendale in Aug. 1944. The Glendale, a Patrol Frigate (PF-36), was a Coast Guard-manned ship which fought alongside the PF-35, PF-38 and PF-39 and served on convoy duty between the Philippines and New Guinea.
