These graphs are a snapshot of three different groups in the Army Acquisition Workforce—the AAW as a whole, the contracting workforce and the engineering community—specifically, their years of experience. What does the data show? That, for example, engineers tend to stay in their jobs longer, and that many are eligible for retirement or nearing it. But it’s equally important to see what the data does not show—local trends, for example, or competencies—and pursue better data to support talent management.
