NEW LONDON, Connecticut (July 25, 2019) Seaman Pedro Maldonado, assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard Tall Ship Eagle (WIX 327), stands throttleman watch as the ship navigates to the pier. Eagle is a tall ship used as a training platform for future Coast Guard Academy officers as well as a vessel for establishing and maintaining domestic and international relationships.
