(July 25, 2019) – Officer Candidate School (OCS) class 16-19 candidates practice navigation skills as part of their professional education at Officer Training Command (OTCN) in Newport, Rhode Island on July 25, 2019. Navigation training provides necessary skills to safely maneuver ships. OCS develops civilians and fleet Sailors into newly commissioned officers morally, mentally, physically and imbue them with the highest ideals of honor, courage and commitment in order to prepare graduates for service in the fleet as Naval officers.
