Staff Sgt. Joseph Austin of the nationally recognized Oregon Military Funeral Honors Team salutes Brig. Gen. Eric Bush, assistant adjutant general, Oregon Army National Guard, after handing Bush a folded U.S. flag for presentation to Alice Knapp during a traditional military funeral, April 13, at the Willamette National Cemetery. The funeral was for Civil War veteran Peter Jones Knapp, who is the first Civil War veteran to be interned at the cemetery and will likely be last, according to Bush.
