U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Thomas Bakos, a medical technician with the 140th Medical Group, Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, holds a kitten July 17, 2019, during the Greater Chenango Cares Innovative Readiness Training in Norwich, New York. Veterinarians from the 169th Medical Detachment Veterinary Services, who were providing care during the IRT, brought cats from the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to boost service members morale and welfare while away from home.
