Commanding Officer CAPT Jeff Timby on July 18, 2019, hosted the Onslow County Sheriff's Office for a special presentation. In June, Sheriff's deputy Lt. Todd McAllister responded to a call to find a person badly wounded. With paramedics more than 10 minutes from the scene, McAllister, a retired Marine, made the quick decision to transport the individual in his patrol car to the NMCCL Trauma Center. Lt. McAllister's keen assessment of the situation and prompt actions, along with the care of our skilled Trauma Team, saved the person's life.
