Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Khayri Battle plants a flower during a community relations project at Il Giardino degli Scalzi, July 13, 2019. Volunteers working onboard Naval Support Activity (NSA) Naples spent the morning removing debris and planting flowers in an effort to beautify the 17th century garden which is located in the Materdei district of Naples. The volunteer association Asso.Gio.Ca obtained the use of the historical garden to host summer camps and winter activities for children. NSA Naples is an operational ashore base that enables U.S., allied, and partner nation forces to be where they are needed, when they are needed to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
