Paraso, Luzon senior area manager, PRISM2 collect their notes and thoughts before a medical symposium that brought Philippine and U.S. medical and veterinary professionals together to exchange knowledge and ideas in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Republic of the Philippines on April 10. The medical symposium is part of the humanitarian civic assistance portion of Exercise Balikatan 2012, which officially starts on April 16, with the HCA portion of the exercise that started earlier on March 12 with engineering projects which consisted of building two-room classrooms at five schools within the Puerto Princesa area. The construction projects are now over 50 percent complete and are expected to be completed by April 27, 2012. BK12, in its 28th iteration, is an annual bilateral training exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military to enhance interoperability between the two partner nations.
