The event allowed Soldiers to qualify for a chance to represent the 3rd Infantry Division in Washington, D.C. later this year which attracts over 35,000 runners and 900 teams across the world, the Army Ten-Miler (ATM) exemplifies the Spirit of Sport and the Spirit of a Nation. Participants include military, civilians, wheelchair athletes, and wounded warrior athletes. The ATM’s mission is to build morale, promote physical fitness and support Army outreach programs.
