U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Keith Ravenel is the Air Force Special Operations Command aerospace and operational physiology functional manager at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Ravenel oversees personnel and equipment at two AFSOC installations that are used to train more than 700 aircrew annually to detect signs of hypoxia during flight. Hypoxia is a condition caused by a lack of oxygen that can lead to injury to personnel, damage to Air Force assets and death. Aircrew are required to go through this training every five years to stay flight qualified. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Dennis Spain)
