190712-N-DQ787-0064 CORAL SEA (July 12, 2019)- MV-22 Ospreys, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), land on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) as an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) squadron 25, flies in the distance. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
