190711-N-BK917-1269 CORAL SEA (July 11, 2019) A CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter, left, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), and MH-60S helicopters, attached to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) Squadron 25, stand chocked-and-chained on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship Wasp (LHD 1). Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event, Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
