YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 9, 2019) – Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Japan/Navy Region Command, Rear Adm. Gregory Fenton, congratulates Capt. Rich Jarrett, the new commanding officer of Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), following a change of command ceremony where Jarrett relieved Capt. Jeffrey Kim (center). The exchange took place in front of a black and white photo of Admiral Benny Decker, one of the earliest commanders of the base. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
