FACES OF THE DEEP: BANGOR, Wash. - "My job is providing the ship with potable water, clean air and maintaining our plumbing and damage control systems for firefighting," said Machinist Mate (Auxiliary) 3rd Class Angelo Eskridge from Hinesville, Georgia, assigned to the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Kentucky (SSBN 737) (Blue). "The Navy entrusted me with major systems and leading other Sailors at a young age. The experience helped me grow as a person. It helped me be more independent. It made me stronger. Serving on a submarine has taught me the importance of teamwork. It's a very rewarding job."
