190707-M-YD783-1038 ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 6, 2019) Radio operators with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit sort communications gear in preparation for an inspection in the well deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). Marines and Sailors aboard the Kearsarge are making final preparations to exit the ship as the date approaches for them to return home. The Kearsarge is nearing the end of a seven-month deployment during which it provided forward Naval and Marine presence and supported maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation.
