Sgt. Chris D. Bentley, maintenance chief for station recovery at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, mentors two of his Marines, Lance Corporals Minh D. Nguyen and Luke D. Byars, crewman with station recovery, about conducting maintenance on the E28 Emergency Arresting Gears on the air station flight line March 26. "We provide the pilots peace of mind while they are flying," said Nguyen, regarding the speed impeding arresting gear system. "They know that if their aircraft fails we have the gear to help them land safely.''
