The Horne was commissioned in San Pedro, Calif., on March 22, 2019, and is named after Coast Guard Senior Chief Petty Officer Terrell Horne who was mortally injured while conducting maritime law enforcement operations near Santa Cruz Island, California, on Dec. 2, 2012.
