Patrick Sansone, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, student trainee, takes measurements of stormwater infrastructure for Washington County in Hagerstown, Maryland, June 21, 2019. District personnel are collecting as much information as possible on approximately 1,400 stormwater structures. Stormwater features surveyed include conveyance, material, size and condition. County staff will use this data to make any necessary repairs and plan for retrofitting or upgrades to systems as well as work collaboratively with the Corps to build a GIS database of stormwater drainage assets.
