Lt. Col. Charles Masaracchia, commander of the 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, salutes 1st Lt. Andrew Richley, a platoon leader in C Company, 1-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment. Richley earned his Expert Infantryman Badge at Fort Bragg, N.C., March 30, 2012. Richley also received an Army Achievement Medal for finishing the 12 mile foot march with the fastest time in the battalion of just under two hours and 10 minutes. The 1-325th held their annual testing for the EIB, March 26-30, ending with a ceremony held only moments after the last Paratrooper finished the road march. About 175 of the 309 paratroopers who started the training earned their EIB, with 157 of them being from the 1-325th AIR. Richley is a native of Batavia, N.Y.
