The 45th Space Wing supported the successful in-flight abort test of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Orion capsule on July 2, 2019, at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The capsule, aboard Northrop Grumman’s Minotaur IV rocket, tested the launch abort system that will ensure an astronaut’s safety in the event of an anomaly when re-entering the Earth from space.
