Members of United States Air Forces Europe Band “Five Star Brass” perform for children of the Ortal Orphanage located just outside the city of Sibiu, as part of the Romanian-American music festival, Ortal, Romania, June 22, 2019. The festival was started by Romanian immigrant and professional violinist Daniel Szasz, whose son, U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class, Alex Szasz, is a musician with the U.S. Air Force Academy band. “Five Star Brass” toured Romania with guest performer Szasz, to showcase the continued unity of the two countries as Romania celebrates 15 years of being a part of NATO and valued ally to the U.S. While in Romania, the “Five Star Brass” performed for both military and civilian audiences to include a special show at the Ortal Orphanage outside of Sibiu, Romania.
