Junior Leaders is part of the annual exercise, Peacekeeping Operations-Americas, conducted between U.S. Army South and the Chilean Joint Staff. Students from 17 participating countries began in classroom studies, learning about UN peacekeeping doctrine and moved on to small team training to build trust and teamwork. Ultimately, the Junior Leaders Training will provide platoon-level training for close to 80 multinational students in areas of police training, military operations on urban terrain, convoy movements, crowd control, and helicopter tactics, all related to UN peacekeeping operations.
