U.S. Marine Cpl. Kyle Tiersch, a rifleman with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, sights in on a M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System during a deck shoot on the flight deck of the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43), June 29, 2019. Tiersch practiced firing from different positions and quickly transitioning between them. The Fort McHenry is making a scheduled deployment as part of the 22nd MEU and the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, in support of maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while also providing a forward Naval and Marine presence.
