Jeff Kuehnhoff, radiopharmacist, puts a vial of lutetium Lu 177 dotatate into the dosage calibrator June 26, 2019 in the Nuclear Medicine Pharmacy. The dose calibrator calibrates the quantity of radiotracer activity in the radiopharmaceutical. This process is done to make sure the radiopharmaceutical is the accurate dose before it is administered to the patient. A dedicated radiopharmacist, who has had several years of additional training in nuclear medicine, handles these types of radiopharmaceuticals. (U.S. Army photo by Lori Newman)
