Col. Marc Thoreson, Chief of Staff, Quartermaster School, cuts the birthday cake celebrating the Quartermaster Corps’ 244th birthday at the QM Museum June 14 – two days before the official June 16 birthday. In informal remarks to a packed room of Soldiers and special guests at the museum, Thoreson said, “The Quartermaster’s are the largest branch of the Army, and we have a strong tradition. We are part of something special. The Army will always need Quartermasters. Quartermasters support all Soldiers and we embrace our sister branches.
