Paratroopers assigned to 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, prepare to board a C-17 Globemaster III assigned to the 204th Airlift Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, June 17, 2019, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The airborne Soldiers and a formation of international aircraft flew to Bulgaria to practice a joint forcible entry operation with international forces for exercise Swift Response 19. The annual training event is led by U.S. Army Europe and entails a series of airborne operations in Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania from June 13-25. Swift Response allows allies to connect – personally, professionally, technically and tactically – to create stronger, more capable forces during times of crisis.
