BAY OF BENGAL (June 18, 2019) Left, Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Brock Carlson, the youngest Corpsman aboard the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) and Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Augustine Osazuwa, the oldest Corpsman aboard cut the cake during a ceremony celebrating the Navy Hospital Corps 121st birthday on the mess decks. Harpers Ferry is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) team and is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
