U.S. Marines with Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 12 hold a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, June 20, 2019. Col. Mark T. Palmer relinquished his command of MAG 12 to Col. Douglas S. DeWolfe. Nicknamed "the ready group," MAG-12 operates throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility, supporting numerous operations, exercises and humanitarian aid missions since its relocation to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan in 1973.
