190616-M-YD783-1218 LITHUANIA (June 16, 2019) A U.S. Marine with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Spanish Marines assigned to 2nd Landing Battalion, Marine Infantry Brigade buddy rush across the beach following an amphibious landing demonstration during the final event of NATO exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2019 in Lithuania on June 16, 2019. U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit took part in BALTOPS to develop and expand upon international relationships. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic region and one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations.
