190616-M-YD783-1011 LITHUANIA (June 16, 2019) U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit perform a simulated amphibious assault from a landing craft, utility vessel as a part of the final event of NATO exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2019 in Lithuania on June 16, 2019. U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU took part in BALTOPS to develop and expand upon international relationships. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic region and one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations.
