A Soldier from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) verifies an azimuth with a compass prior to completing a land navigation course during the 2019 USAJFKSWCS Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year Competition at Fort Bragg, North Carolina April 8, 2019. The competition, held over a five-day period, promoted esprit de corps and challenged the NCOs and Soldiers who demonstrated commitment to the Army Values, embodied the warrior ethos, and represented the best Soldiers in the Army; The winning NCO and junior enlisted Soldier will move on to compete in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command competition in June.
