Chief Hospital Corpsman Jason Deaver and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Khoa Phung, both assigned to Navy Medicine West (NMW), cut the Hospital Corps’s 121st birthday cake during a ceremony at NMW headquarters onboard Naval Base San Diego. NMW provides medical care to nearly 700,000 beneficiaries throughout the West Coast of the U.S., Asia, and the Pacific. Globally, NMW oversees eight research laboratories across the U.S. and overseas that deliver research expertise in support of warfighter health and readiness.
