    I Marine Expeditionary Force

    U.S. Marine Cpl. John Berg, a team leader with Weapons Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and 24-year-old native of Tiverton, R.I., digs a fighting hole during an overnight post here, March 23, 2012. The patrol was one of many missions the platoon has conducted since deploying to southern Helmand in October 2011. Marines with Weapons Plt. have taken on multi-faceted assignments like company and battalion quick reaction missions, battlefield circulations, and traditional rifle platoon duties.
