190616-N-WI365-1063 CORAL SEA (June 16, 2019) – Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Micah Casas, from Amarillo, Texas, supervises Sailors and Marines on the bridge wing of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) and fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204). Ashland, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
