Texas Army National Guard paratroopers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade approach a C-17 Globemaster III June 13, 2019, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, during exercise Swift Response 19. The Soldiers teamed up with various joint and international units to conduct a joint forcible entry operation for Swift Response. The annual event is a U.S. Army Europe-led exercise designed to train the U.S. Global Response Force, taking place from June 13-25 at various locations in Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. The various training activities are held to promote regional stability and security, while increasing readiness, strengthening capabilities and fostering trust.
